RKCR/Y&R & Saint T-Minus

11.05.01 – T-Minus is a tool for agencies and creatives to ensure you never miss an awards deadline, ever again. We worked with RKCR/Y&R & Saint to solve a problem that creatives have been tackling for years (with mixed success) using sticky notes and calendars.

Our simpler and more elegant solution is a tight combination of website and screensaver allow you to track over 130 awards around the globe with countdowns for both entry dates and the date on which work has to run in order to qualify for entry. Choose to view just the awards that are most relevant to you and the information is automatically updated across website and screensaver.

The HTML5 website is designed with mobiles and tablets in mind so is easily accessible from anywhere you need to quickly check a deadline. For the screensaver we used the Cinder C++ library and Box2D to create physics-based animations that run at a super-smooth 60fps using OpenGL. This creates an element of randomness and infinite variations in the transitions that keep the screensaver looking fresh.
