Titta Max / Look here’s Sam
Sam is 2 years old. He lives with his dog, teddybear, cookie and mother. Everyday events cause huge drama. How to reach a lamp. How to share a toy with a friend. Can the dog wear a diaper? Can you bathe with a cookie?
Barbro Lindgren and Eva Eriksson’s books about Sam are classic books for the little ones. Those who grew up with Sam have now become parents and continue the reading with their children. And now Sam has entered the world of films by director Martin Eriksson! Traditionally high qaulity hand-drawn animation (cel animation) brings Eva Eriksson’s characters to life. A vivid, exciting, comical and well choreographed animation accurately portrays the books and does them justice. The fabolous Lindgren Brothers makes the music.
A pilot of the book Sam’s Car was made in 2011 and was shown succesfully in the Swedish Television.
Directors vision:
The kids in front of the tv look at each other and think: Oh my god! This programme is about our life! Our problems! Our kindergarten! Our home! Is it made by other kids? Is it happening for real? Are kids human beings too? Yes, we are human beings! We have feelings too! We have real problems and we want to be taken seriously!
